A memory recurs: sitting in the gym bleachers with the Pep Club. Emil Brenchus (sp?) and Bobby Redlinger horsing around: the cut one of the Pep Club hats in half, each wearing half. I think there's a photo of them.

After collage at Bowling Green State University, I was drafted into the US Army, serving in Germany (Thank God!) 1969-1971; graduate school at Temple U. in philosophy (1971-1972); worked as Prison guard at Bucks Co. Prison, Doylestown, PA & lived on a hippie farm up the road; then Union Theo. Seminary in New York (1974-1978); worked two years in the General Assembly office of the UPUSA; next four years of clinical training in pastoral psychotherapy (individual, group, marriage & family); special training in couple therapy; have conducted private practice since 1987; also worked in a pastoral counseling agency (1985-2009); married 1987-1993: daughter, Amy Elisabeth Lawrence, lives in Brooklyn. Have served eight churches as part-time interim pastor. Currently seeking a publisher for my book, "Old South Brooklyn Entrepreneur: Anson Blake (1789-1868): A Financial & Commercial Biography" of a very wealthy 19th century Brooklynite who had a significant hand in the pre-Civil War development of Brooklyn. I lived in Manhattan (1974-1982), Park Slope, Brooklyn (1982-1986); Brooklyn Heights (1986-2000); Staten Island (2000-present). I practice individual and marriage & family counseling in my Brooklyn Heights office and my Staten Island offices. I currently serve a Presbyterian congregation in Queens as part-time pulpit supply pastor. I am liberal politically and theologically.
